Simon joined Optimized Gas Treating, Inc. as a Software Development Engineer in May 2014. He completed three internships with OGT during his undergraduate years in the summers of 2011, 2012 and 2013. Following four years of software development experience, Simon became a Technical Applications Engineer in 2018 in which position he was responsible for key accounts, employee and customer training, and workshops. In 2023, he became Manager, Inside Sales and Marketing where he was responsible for all licensing renewals, marketing material, customer training, and technical support.
He shifted into the role of Product Manager in September 2024, where he was responsible for collaborating with the Technical Development and Business Development teams to plan the development and marketing strategies of ProTreat, SulphurPro, and ProBot through gathering information on market/customer requirements, identifying opportunities, and ensuring the products align with both customer needs and company goals.
As of April 2026, Simon is the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he leads the execution of OGT’s strategic initiatives and oversees day-to-day operations across the organization. He is responsible for aligning the company’s technical development, commercial activities, and product strategy to ensure efficient delivery of value to customers. Simon plays a key role in scaling operations and improving internal processes while maintaining OGT’s strong focus on technical excellence and customer success.
Simon received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in German from the University of Oklahoma. With over a decade of experience, he specializes in fundamentals-based modeling of sulphur recovery operations and is a recognized subject matter expert in sulphur recovery and gas treating.
