Description
The Technical Development Engineer will work with Optimized Gas Treating’s commercial product line which includes ProTreat®, SulphurPro®, and other downloadable content.
Location
Buda, Texas
Responsibilities
- Actively design, develop and maintain OGT’s commercial product lines
- Develop algorithms and models for new features, including general-purpose numerical methods for chemical engineering-specific applications and high-level macro-optimization and multi-parameter optimization techniques for data fitting and reconciliation
- Opportunity to publish articles and present at conferences
- Assist with technical support
Qualifications
- B.S, M.S., or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or other disciplines with relevant experience developing models
- Strong background in classical thermodynamics, phase equilibrium, chemical reaction engineering, and mass transfer
- Knowledge in programming with various languages (Fortran is a plus) including version control, file-sharing, and source control in collective coding environments
- Self-starter capable of handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously with strong interpersonal skills

Description
The Applications Engineer will be responsible for new sales and licensing of OGT’s commercial products, ProTreat and SulphurPro.

Responsibilities
- Drive new sales through meeting with existing and potential clients either in person or through online platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Grow and maintain the opportunity pipeline for the assigned geographic region
- Attend relevant conferences to network with existing and potential clients
- Understand and communicate industry needs to OGT’s management and technical development team
- Effectively use CRM (Salesforce) to collate communications and activity
Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering (or other Bachelors with relevant experience in technical sales).
- Strong networking and rapport building skills to build and maintain relationships with peers, clientele, and business partners
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to travel, including international, 25-30%
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
