Sulfur Condensers
SulphurPro® simulates sulphur condensers in both rating mode (find the temperatures and heat transfer rates for a specified set of tube dimensions) and sizing mode (find the dimensions needed to meet specific temperature or heat transfer rates). It’s possible to include WHB reactions as well as sulphidation corrosion of carbon steel and chromium/molybdenum alloys right in the simulation. Account is also taken of the effect of liquid entrainment (usually mist) in the exiting vapor. All the heat transfer characteristics of the condenser are included either as user-specified inside and outside heat transfer coefficients or as calculated internally by SulphurPro correlations for convective and radiative heat transfer, including fouling resistances.
